The Beauty Of God's Creation

Hi again! These are some more pics from our trip. We had a few nice sunsets on the trip, about which I was thrilled, to say the least. Here are the girls, out trying to find agates, even as it was getting dark. We all had lots of fun looking for agates and came back with some nice ones.
This is a shot from "the fort" (as all the retired folks call it, and go to surprisingly quite often.)
This, by the way, is called the Pacific Ocean. :)
(When I took this shot, I thought I was taking a video so that I could show you the awesome sound that the waves were making on all the little rocks, but later I realized I had only gotten a picture. The sound was unlike any I have ever heard.)

This is one of God's unfailingly new and beautiful paintings.

You know what I realized the other day? We were coming back from the trip, and we had a beautiful "California" sunset. (It was better than the ones we had in Oregon, I wish I had been able to get a good shot of it.)

I realized that there won't be any sunsets in heaven! At first I was shocked, and almost disappointed! But as I thought about it, I realized that we will have the most Beautiful Son of all, shining right before our very eyes, and His beauty will be so amazing and magnificent that these earthly sunsets will never even come to remembrance. All that we once thought was beautiful will be swallowed up in His beauty beyond compare.

"The city had no need of the sun or of the moon to shine in it, for the glory of God illuminated it. The Lamb is its light. And the nations of those who are saved shall walk in its light , and the kings of the earth bring their glory and honor into it. It's gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be not night there). And they shall bring the glory and the honor of the nations into it. But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life."

Revelation 21:23-27
